UCSB Sexual Violence website

Preventing and responding to sexual violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating/domestic violence and stalking are top priorities for UC. This website provides the UC community with key information about university support services, your responsibilities as a member of the UC community, and steps UC is taking to address sexual violence.

UCSB Adjudication Process

Undergraduate and graduate students who have experienced sexual violence can speak confidentially to their campus CARE advocate to understand their rights and reporting options, including the option not to report. Students will also receive written explanations of these rights and reporting options. In addition, CARE advocates will inform students about counseling and other support resources that are available. Students accused of sexual violence or sexual harassment can contact their local Respondent Services Coordinator to help them understand their rights, the university's investigation and adjudication process, and available resources.

UCSB Policy on Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence

Everyone at UCSB — students, faculty, staff and administrators — has the right to a safe learning and working environment. UCSB does not tolerate sexual violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating/domestic violence or stalking. Each of us plays a critical role in ensuring the university is a safe place, and should know the rules of being part of the UCSB community.
